Vaisakhi - Message from the Mayor
'It is with great pleasure that I once again welcome the festival of Vaisakhi to Trafalgar Square. This celebration on the Square is now firmly established as a key event in the capital’s cultural calendar, and is a joyous occasion that is appreciated by Londoners and visitors from all backgrounds.
The festival of Vaisakhi highlights the core Sikh values of equality, diversity and tolerance for all – values that are vital for a great world city like ours.
The economic, social and cultural life of London is greatly enriched by the Sikh community, and this year I am particularly pleased that Vaisakhi in the Square will also celebrate the contribution made by some of our city’s most successful Sikh business people.
I would like to extend my very best wishes to all Sikhs for Vaisakhi 2007 and a warm welcome to everyone at Trafalgar Square on Sunday 29 April. '
Ken Livingstone
Mayor of London

Being a mod means that you should be on top of the hill all day, always on the ball…you hold a responsibility to cater for the needs of the members, and misinforming the AP public about an important event is very irresponsible. I am offended that you can even live with yourself Mizz, infact im going to go and have a word with OS right this moment to discuss your future as a mod

No narinder, We have to think now…how do we know there even is going to be a celebration in Trafalgar square? She might’ve just copied and pasted last years article with this years date, just to trick the people of AP by making them go to Trafalgar square only to find that nothings going on…just for her twisted amusement. I cant believe Mizz, a mod that I trusted…used our devotion towards the almighty God and Sikhism to trick us for her own amusement.
