I've been practising, I've done a few missions, it's actually like another game I've played back in the days called Red Alert. Is there a way of playing the game in a window instead of full screen?

Red Alert is part of the Command & Conquer franchise.

There is a way to make it a windowed game. Do this.

Click Start > All Programs > EA Games > Command & Conquer Generals Zero Hour > Right click on the Command & Conquer .exe file and click properties.

You'll be presented with a window like this:

Notice that where it says "Target" it shows the full path of where the .exe file is.

After "\generals.exe" type this:

(make sure there is a space here)-quickstart (space again) -window.

Now I can't remember if it was window or windowed but try window first, and if it don't work try windowed.

Bav's zero hour update thing is takin long to complete.. i thought it would just let you go multiplayer without downloading anything as generals already installed the patch?

i tried both. neither worked. - regarding the windowed

The patch doesn't come installed on the CD. The game automatically downloads the patch when you try and play multiplayer. If you don't have the patch installed you can't play multiplayer. It's best to download the patch elsewhere and manually install it.

Bav can hold her ground no doubt.. but she doesn't expand lol.. if you do the enemy can be overwhelmed.. but that also means there's too much space for the enemy to come in..

we always let the first dozer/worker go off on its own to capture oil etc.. 2nd dozer does the rest of the work.. lol.. gla are hard to prevent from expanding.. workers are so easy to produce and transport..

usa are still better at stoppin gla.. just those rocket upgrades on scorpions is lethal.. they home in on you and you can't do anythin.. :| ..also with gla you make money attacking, and losing units :o

but the way i use gla would decimate usa easy cos usa got too many air units and crappy ground units i could kill off the usa using bout 20 rocket soldiers and 10 quad cannons simply the soldiers batter tanks and air and the quads battermen and air

You are wrong their my good friend, USA laser general would make your 20 rocket and quad cannon army futile, I am sure pliskin will agree.

exactly crazyt.. pathfinders will make them 20 rocket men look like sitting targets out on the battlefield :D ..quads against lasers.. hmm lasers win enough said.. even against china..overlord only has to walk over them lol..

Yep dude, drew the short straw for this week, so working the grave yard shift !:eek: its orite cos there nothing to do, so sit and watch films the whole night !

Yep Got GOW, its what made me get onto live, shit had loads of rows with the other half as used to come to bed like 2 -3 in the morn ! developed a bit of insomnia cos of that game ! COD 4 is wicked ! I love the LMG and claymores !!
